in Jacksonville, Arkansas to parents Kimberly and Neil Allen, Kris has a younger brother, Daniel. Kris Allen played viola in his high school orchestra, including winning a spot in his state’s all-state orchestra.
Kris Allen has done missionary work in Burma, Morocco, Mozambique, South Africa, Spain and Thailand.
Allen married his high school girlfriend Katy O’Connell on September 26, 2008.
